Mugursoma is a travel blog by Zane Eniņa, a travel blogger from Latvia who has been to more than 75 countries since 1977, including Antarctica!
Her blog has been around since 2012 and includes over 1000 blog posts. Her website has already generated almost 6 million views. In 2018, she decided to undergo a rebranding.
Zane has worked in the communications industry in Latvia for over 20 years, including as the head of the marketing and PR department at Rimi (similar to WALMART). During her time at a communications agency, several projects were carried out, with the largest being the introduction of the Euro in Latvia. She also briefly worked in the public sector, leading the tourism marketing department at LIAA (Latvian Investment and Development Agency).
In late 2020, she published her first book, “Nekaunīgais pingvīns” (The Unstoppable Penguin), summarizing the adventures of her seven-month journey through South America, Easter Island, and Antarctica.
